  Sunday 12th February 2012 ~ Zurrieq South District Parade

 

The South District has organised a District Parade in the locality of Zurrieq.  Xgħajra Scout Group together with other Scout Groups that forms part of the South District together with their Scout Bands performed around the Streets of Zurrieq.

     
  Sunday 29th January 2012 ~ New Years Parade

The first parade, during the new year was organised on the 29th January.  Xgħajra Scouts Pipes & Drums made its first performance in the streets, were it turned into a good turnout.  A thanksgiving mass for the following year was organised to finish off the parade.

     
  Tuesday 13th December 2011 ~ Christmas Party

A Christmas Party was organised on a Group level.  It was a day full of activities and fun.  Various games and activities were organised for the scouts and cubs. The members amused themselves during the games and it was a great hit.  
     
  Friday 3rd December 2011 ~ Pasta Night

A pasta night organised by the Events Committee concluded 2011.  We'd like to thank everyone for yesterdays PASTA NIGHT, especially The GSL, the AGSL for their hard work starting from early in the morning, the Venture Leaders and the Unit, the Troop Leaders and the Troops for their work during the night. We'd also like to thank all the parents that attended and the scouts that were awarded. A big thank you goes to Lowla Discount Store for sponsoring a free hamper.
     
  Saturday15th - Sunday 16th October 2011 ~ Joti - Jota

For an other consecutive year Xgħajra Scout Group organised the 54th Jamboree on the air with Mr. Scicluna's help.  The activity was planed over the whole weekend.  On Friday 14th October, the scout members met at H.Q. to start the activity by putting up aerials and setting up the area.  The official opening for the Jota for Xgħajra Scout Group was on the Saturday at nine in the morning.  Through this day all the members were participating and enjoying International Scouting all the way through the radio.  The following day the activity was concluded earlier due to thunderstorms.  For another year, the Jota is listed in our history with a big number of contacts from different places and continents 
     
  Sunday 3rd October 2011 ~ Zabbar South District Parade

The South District has organised a District Parade in the locality of Zabbar.  Xgħajra Scout Group together with other Scout Groups that forms part of the South District together with their Scout Bands performed from Our Lady of Grace Santuary to Zabbar Scout Group H.Q.
     
  25th October 2009 ~ Birzebbugia South District Parade

The South District has organised a District Parade in the locality of Birzebbugia.  Xgħajra Scout Group together with other Scout Groups that forms part of the South District together with their Scout Bands performed from St. Peter Parish Church to the Freeport.
     
  Saturday 13th August 2011 ~ Majjalata

For the third consecutive successful year, Xgħajra Scout Group organised the Majjalata, to close Summer Camp 2011.  We'd like to give a SPECIAL THANKS to two auxiliary leaders Glenn Mercieca and David Grech for their time dedicated, the G.S.L, A.G.S.L and all the leaders, Family Bonello for sponsoring the pig, Family Grech for helping in the event and all those who gave a hand.

  Friday 24th June 2011 ~ Lejla Maltija

Following, the Mother's Day Dinner, Xgħajra Scout Group were back with a Lejla Maltija and Awards Night.  This night was a night were the Scouts were presented awards and badges. Leaders from Xgħajra Scout Group prepared various Maltese food for this event. We would like to thank all the crowd for coming and Xgħajra Scout Group will be back soon with an other bigger event.
     
  Friday 6th May 2011  ~ Mother's Day Dinner

After the great success of the 3 course meal organised last year, this year another 3-course meal was marked on the calendar too.  This dinner was consisted of antipasto, starter, main course and was ended up with a good taste. 

We would like to thank all those who attended and cooperated for supporting our children.  A big well done and thank you goes to all the leaders, supported parents and without any doubt to all the scouts who participated.

     
  Thursday 21st April 2011 ~ 7 Visits

For the seventh consecutive year Xgħajra Scout Group - Events Committee organised another private to 7 different Churches with the Good Friday theme.  We would like to thank all those who attended and hope to see you next year.
     
  10th April 2011 ~ Annual Parade

For another year the Annual Parade was held at Valletta.  On this day, t the streets of Valletta were alive to the sounds of pipes and drums.  Groups started marching from different parts of Republic Street, with each taking its turn to parade down in formation and salute President George Abela in St George's Square. 
     
  Saturday16th - Sunday 17th October 2010 ~ Joti - Jota

For an other consecutive year Xgħajra Scout Group organised the 53rd Jamboree on the air with Mr. Scicluna's help.  The activity was planed over the whole weekend.  On Friday 15th October, the scout members met at H.Q. to start the activity by putting up aerials and setting up the area.  The official opening for the Jota for Xgħajra Scout Group was on the Saturday at nine in the morning.  Through this day all the members were participating and enjoying International Scouting all the way through the radio.  St. Augustine's Air Scouts also participated in this Jota on Saturday.  The following day was based on the previous day.  The activity was concluded on Sunday 18th October.  This year's Jota is listed in our history with a big number of contacts from different places and continents

  Friday 5th December 2008  ~ Xgħajra Scout Group Website Official Opening

The day that everyone was waiting for was a success.  The occasion began with a pasta night for the parents and scouts.  After enjoying the meal it was the moment for the launching of Xgħajra Scout Group Website.  The official opening was celebrated by means of a wonderful cake, thanks to 5th Avenue of New York decorated with inscriptions of the website name.   Finally the occasion was concluded by the Scouts and Cub Scouts receiving their awards.  In the name of Xgħajra Scout Group I would like to thank all the leaders, staff, Ventures, Scouts, sponsors and all those who participated in this marvelous event.

     
  Saturday 22nd November 2008 ~ Community Work

On the 22nd November, members from Xgħajra Venture Unit, Troop Section  and Cub Scout Section took part in a community work program in collaboration with SEDQA in aid for Razzett tal- Hiberija.  At 9 in the morning the members met at the H.Q. to go to the Razzett to take part in this program.  The program was consisted of voluntary work to help the Razzett in maintaining the place.  The members were divided into groups and they were given different tasks to do.  The session ended at 12.30. 
     
  Sunday 26th October 2008 ~ South District Church Parade

In commemoration of 100 years of Scouting in Malta, Marsa Scout Group organised a District Parade.  The event started by an opening mass at Marsa Parish Church.  After mass, the Xgħajra Scout Group together with the other Scout Groups of the South District together with their Scout Bands performed around the village of Marsa celebrate this event.
